Another new ordinance will go into effect in Seattle on July 1, 2020. This complex law governs how you must process tenant requests to add additional occupants during tenancy. Special protections are provided for those who qualify as “immediate family members” under a new, broad definition. Attorney and RHAWA Board Member, Synthia Melton will explain the new law and discuss other considerations such as occupancy policies and fair housing guidelines.
