RHAWA works to elect candidates who recognize rental housing as a valuable asset to communities, share a strong commitment to allowing rental housing to function as a market-based industry, and a willingness to work with the rental housing industry toward the common goal of providing safe and healthy housing.
If you want to learn more about the elections in your city or county, go to pdc.wa.gov and select the “Browse” option then select the “Candidates by election year and office.” This is a plentiful resource to review candidates who are running for elected office. In addition, every county in the state will have an elections website which include information on all candidates who have filed to run for office for the 2019 election cycle. If you have any questions or want to learn more about how to navigate these sites, please reach out to the RHAWA Government Affairs staff.
"Friends of RHAWA" Elected Officials
Following is a list of “Friends of RHAWA”, elected officials who have continually stood for our values.
RHAWA's PAC issues endorsements to inform voters of which candidates running for office recognize rental housing as a valuable asset to communities, their commitment to allowing rental housing to function as a market-based industry, and for their willingness to work with the rental housing industry toward the common goal of providing safe and healthy housing. All candidates to be considered for endorsement by RHAWA's PAC must complete our questionnaire. The RHAWA PAC reviews completed questionnaires and then chooses to interview candidates. The Political Action Committee votes to endorse candidates for all positions. If you would like to be considered for our endorsement or are interested in serving on RHAWA's PAC, please email our Director of Government Affairs at advocacy@RHAwa.org.
