RHAWA Offers Condolences to Weidner Family & Team

The Rental Housing Association of Washington expresses our deepest sympathies to the family of Dean Weidner and the staff of Weidner Apartment Homes in the passing of W. Dean Weidner, a defining figure in Washington State's rental housing sector.

During his lifetime, Mr. Weidner built Weidner Apartment Homes into one of the largest apartment owners in the United States. Headquartered in Kirkland, his company currently owns more than 7,000 apartment homes in Washington, and has provided housing for tens of thousands of Washington families.

Weidner was a pioneer in property management, a champion of smart growth policies, a dedicated philanthropist, and a steadfast supporter of the rental housing community. The fruits of his leadership will endure for generations, and RHAWA remains committed to honoring his legacy by continuing our work alongside the Weidner team here in Washington State.
