Seattle Fair Housing Laws

Chris Benis reviews fair housing laws in Seattle

Thursday, April 9, 2020
3:00 PM - 4:30 PM (PDT)

Event Details

Fair Housing laws begin with the Fair Housing Act and are guided by HUD at the federal level. Many states and local jurisdictions add additional protected classes such as sexual orientation or age. In addition, the City of Seattle has passed several ordinances that provide more fair housing protections for tenants with direct enforcement by city personnel. Chris Benis will explore how these laws have evolved and discuss how to navigate them while operating your rentals.
