It is estimated that 14% of all renting households in Washington State have $7800 rent debt per household.* With new laws in effect, what are the requirements and best practices for working with these tenants in significant rental arrears? With the goal of keeping renters in their homes, Washington State has massive funding allotted to provide assistance directly to the tenants, and the state Landlord Mitigation Fund has additional funds available to landlords in certain circumstances.  Jim Henderson, RHAWA Lobbyist and Landlord Solutions President, will take you through the process of offering payment plans to tenants and working with the new Eviction Resolution Program and Landlord Mitigation Program to resolve your tenant’s rent debt. Attorney, Maxwell Glasson will be join us as a panelist to help answer your legal questions.
