Running a rental property in Washington State means navigating some of the most detailed and actively enforced housing laws in the country. Wondering what changes state and local lawmakers are implementing this year? Our Saturday morning session is designed for rental property owners and managers who want clear guidance on what the law requires—and how to operate day-to-day with confidence.
Participants will learn the key state and local laws that regulate rental operations, including lease requirements, notices, deposits, maintenance obligations, entry rules, and enforcement risks. The course emphasizes practical best practices that reduce friction with residents, prevent costly mistakes, and support smooth, professional operations.
We will also cover common compliance pitfalls, the financial and legal consequences of getting it wrong, and proven protocols that help owners stay organized, consistent, and defensible if issues arise. By the end of the session, owners and property managers will have a stronger understanding of their responsibilities, clearer operational processes, and greater confidence in managing rentals within Washington’s regulatory framework.
Each session in the CORE Series offers 2.5 hours of practical, in-person education plus time for questions, a convenient Saturday morning schedule, opportunities to connect with peers, flexible registration options, and light refreshments to make learning easy and accessible.

From the South Entrance the easiest approach (Corner of 142nd Ave. SE & SE 32nd St/Coal Creek Rd.):Follow Coal Creek and immediately look for building N among the first buildings on your right.
From the Main Entrance (Corner of 148th & SE 28th St/Landerholm): Follow Landerholm Cir. SE into campus. Take the first turn left toward the south end of campus. Pass parking lots #13 & #14. Building N will be among the buildings on your left.
From the North Entrance (Corner of 145th Place SE & SE 24th St/Kelsey Creek Rd): Follow Kelsey Creek Rd south. Turn right at Snoqualmie River Rd. and continue south. Turn left on SE 32nd St/Coal Creek Rd. and immediately look for building N among the first buildings on your right.
Parking Lot #14:
Your complimentary parking is in Lot #14 — located directly across Building N. If Lot #14 is full, overflow parking is available in Lot #13 or Lot #15, but these require a promo code to park at no charge. Please only use overflow lots if Lot #14 is completely full.
